Galleri Ping Pong, Malmö 2003

Inside the room there was chair and a table. The wooden table contained an indentation in the shape of a person leaning, face down on the table. By sitting down and placing yourself in the table’s indentation, you could see a TV, showing the test pattern of the Swedish Public Television Service. After awhile, the pattern started to deteriorate. From the flat, two dimensional image, parts of it begin to move both towards and away from you in three dimensions (through the use of stereoscopic technology). Eventually the image of a bush emerges (also in 3D). This image was the first part of a 3D video sequence filmed with a subjective camera that brought the visitor outside the gallery and created the feeling of taking a walk outside the gallery. The sequence then continued into the gallery where the image changes over and you saw yourself laying over the table.
